The problem
A vaccine that goes out of range looks the same, but loses efficacy. There's no way to tell by eye.
Discarded product, emergency restocking, staff hours and stockouts.
Without a continuous, traceable record, an ISP inspection ends in findings and a re-inspection.
| Requirement | Manual log sheet | NIVAL monitoring |
|---|---|---|
| Logging frequency | 2 to 3 readings a day | Continuous automatic logging |
| Nights and weekends | No coverage | Full coverage |
| Excursion detection | When the unit is opened | Immediate alert when the threshold is exceeded |
| Power outage | Discovered afterward | Alarm as it happens |
| Audit evidence | Paper without timestamps | Exportable time-stamped data series |
| Calibration | Rarely documented | Valid certificate for each sensor |
How it works
The sensor goes inside the unit: no drilling into the cabinet and no impact on the warranty.
Interactive scenario
Healthcare facility. The vaccine refrigerator reads 4.8 °C, within the 2 to 8 °C range.

What we measure
Documented metrological traceability.
Scheduled so no point is left uncovered.
Documentary evidence for inspectors.
Removal, temporary unit, and reinstallation.
Technology
Long-range, low-power wireless NBtemp sensors, with no new wiring on the premises. NBnano keeps local logging and alarms on site.

Case · Healthcare
Spreadsheet-based control left gaps that could not be reconstructed during an inspection. Today, 19 points are monitored continuously on NBcloud, with per-site thresholds, exportable history, and annual calibration as a service.
Service tiers
Cloud monitoring with history and alerts.
Local logging independent of the internet.
Complete evidence for ISP audits.
Services
Supervision, review of points with no data, incident handling and technical support.
Historical data, events and reports for reviews and audits.
Periodic summary of relevant changes, alerts and open items.
Frequently asked questions
No. The sensor sits inside the refrigerated space, without drilling the cabinet or touching the unit's controls.
NBnano keeps logging and checking thresholds on site, and can trigger a local beacon light. Phone alerts and cloud backup are sent once the link is restored, with everything stored in the meantime.
Each point has a configurable grace period: a short opening doesn't trigger the alarm.
Yes, with a certificate. Annual calibration can be included as a managed service.
Between 4 and 8 weeks, at one site or a defined area, with scope and price fixed in writing.
Calculator · unsupervised hours
With manual logging between 08:00 and 17:00, how many hours do your units go without anyone checking them?
With 6 units, that's about 3,196 unit-hours a month with no one watching.
Illustrative estimate based on readings between 08:00 and 17:00.
